Replacement doors and cooking issues

It had taken two days but finally the repairman had arrived to do the job. Apparently after the last curse, the one where the leftovers had turned into angry monsters and attacked their makers, there had been a lot of doors that needed to be replaced. That the apartment Eagle was living in had after that suffered a damaged door was very ill-timed. It placed that repair at the end of a very long queue.
Eagle hadn’t even tried to explain why, one minute the apartment had a door… while in the next even the frame itself was missing… And Lantis hadn’t even asked. Just looked at the missing door, then at Eagle… as if some how he had caused the door to vanish.
The reason would probably be readily accepted… however…

With a smile Eagle shook the hand of the person who had come to fix the door.
“Thank you for your hard work. Maybe now that all of the doors have been replaced you can get some rest.”

“I really hope so… but the way this place is…”

Eagle nodded, “But, at least you have job security!”

The door repairman laughed in agreement before picking up his tools and wandering away, down the long hallway.

“I’m glad that is over… Not having a door can be so tiresome…” An audible sigh as the door is closed. “But, maybe now I can get back to this recipe… Let’s see…
Two eggs lightly beaten… baking soda, no powder, that is different from soda…”

And Eagle’s voice gradually fades away as he returns to the small kitchen and the Network Device in the living room can no longer hear what is going on… save for the occasional clatter of dishes.

Or… crash of dishes… which ever the case might be.
