[Candy and treats and something called Christmas? Well, despite how she was only just playing with her device to get a handle on it, this post has her attention now. So on goes the feed!]

What's Christmas? Is its candy still sweet?

Christmas is an Earth holiday. Maybe they don't celebrate it on your world? I only learned about it myself when I came to the City.

Some of the candy we carry is bitter, because some people prefer bitter chocolate to the sweet kind. But, most of the things we carry are sweet. I prefer the sweet kind myself.

Oh wow! So Christmas is about all sorts of sweets?

Sweets are definitely a large part of it, but mostly Christmas is supposed to be a time when you show other people how much you appreciate them by giving them a gift.

Really! That sounds good, too. What day is it on? And what does it take to get a ginger bread? [If Christmas is about showing appreciation to those you care about than she needs to know!]

It is a very nice holiday! Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December, so you have plenty of time left if you would like to do something for it.

As for the little gingerbread houses. We are selling those for two oranges. We also have gingerbread kits for one orange each if you would like to put together on your own.

[City money 'orange' not the fruit. ^^" ]

[Well, she hasn't had the currency explained to her yet, so...]

Hm? You'd take two oranges for one of those? [That, to her, sounds funny. But so was the idea behind Yen.]

That seemed like a reasonable price.

Have you been in the City very long?

[As she shakes her head:] No. I only just got here a few days ago.

Then maybe you don't know much about the City's colorful money yet?

[How many times had some one actually tried to pay him in fruit? *sigh* Too many to count. ]

Colorful money? Is it like Yen?

Yen? Where do they use that kind of currency?

[Sorry, not from Earth here. They don't have Yen on Autozam.]

I'm afraid I don't know how much alike they are.

Japan uses them.

[Now how to explain... How to explain...]

[After a slight pause, she makes an 'O' with her hand to mimic the shape of a coin.]

And they look like this! Some have holes in the center and they're silver, gold, and bronze. [Which ironically describes a lot of coins, unbeknownst to her.]

In that case it does sound a lot like City-money, only the coins here are orange, green, much stranger colors that the Yen seems to be in.

Ohhhh~ [...Now give her a second to put one and two together - !!] Is that what you meant by two oranges?

[From the sound of things it is a very good thing he clarified. Not that the fruit called oranges aren't very lovely things but it would be difficult to make a profit with them. ]

That's right. They are round and bright orange colored coins.
