The wampa was very popular at the museum exhibit yesterday. Very few kids were scared by him. Most of the parents wanted the children to pose next to him. And only a few people called him Chewbacca. I went out twice in costume, and was really glad I had the cooling vest. I have two sets of cold packs, so I can rotate them, and recharge the packs to be used later that same day.
I even posed for photos next to the exhibit model of the wampa and snow trooper. Thanx to jedifan77 for taking the photos, and showing them to me. If anyone wants to see them, I'll be happy to forward them to ya in an e-mail. I will also post the links to other photos from the event, as soon as they are online. I had stuffed the wampa claws on the hands, and I am glad I did. They kept their shape better, and really had the look of something hard and tough as nails. Even the claws I added to the feet went with the look of the original creature.
I came home Saturday at dinner time, ate a nice light meal, and was too tired to do much of anything else that night. Today I got a few things done, and was able to start shopping for a new wardrobe, so I can replace the clothes that don't fit me any more. So far I'm down over 45 lbs., so it's time to have clothes that aren't baggy on anymore. If I lose a few more pounds, I should be able to wear my tuxedo again....
