Update? Update.
I'll be reaching my 2-week waiting period after my second vaccine this Saturday. Pretty pleased about that. The drive down to Pueblo again was very uneventful. Pueblo might be an interesting place to visit. The downtown looked kind of neat anyway, and they had a pretty cool-looking cemetery. Hard to tell if I'll ever stop there just because anytime I go through I usually just want to blaze to ABQ or DEN with as few stops as possible.
In any case, I had flu-like symptoms after the second shot that took me out of commission for about two days. I took the time to understand exactly why that would be beforehand, so I wasn't bothered by it, and expected it. And after the third day, the symptoms pretty much just evaporated. And now, I can go out without feeling like I'm a danger to other people. Well, no more a danger than I otherwise would be.
There is a concert going on in August that was postponed from last year. Whether I go or not will depend on what's happening with the virus. If it's still going around, but hasn't become more deadly, I'll probably go but wear a mask since it's an outside venue. If things have become more deadly by that point though, that would be a different story. The same will apply for Denfur, which I'm considering. What I might do though is just stay at home, and just invite furs over for drinks on my balcony. That actually sounds a lot more pleasant than being stuffed in a hotel.
Whatever happens, I'll definitely be doing some traveling to see friends that I've missed, and new ones I've not met yet.
Work's going alright. Will be going through switch week next week where my schedule will be a mess, and then a week later, I'll be working regular Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and every other Sunday if needed for the next four months. It kinda sucks because the one social event that I regularly did before the pandemic happened on Tuesdays. Will have to see what else can be done. I'm so happy to be back on 12s though. The M-F 8 hour night shift was making me depressed again. Not quite as bad as when I was working days, but there was an obvious sadness.
I think maybe next week I'll pick up some herbs to plant again. Only my Oregano seemed to survive indoors. I don't know why the others didn't. My geranium survived too, but seems to hate being outside. Plants are whiners.
Bedtime for now. Here's to a year of more excitement going forward. Good excitement. I want adventure.
