Could use some advice
Recently I have been dealing with an old bill. It's not that much, and I made payments to it, but they decided to send it to a collection agency anyway. So I said blow for now, as there are more imprtant things to deal with, so I'll deal with you when I'm ready. Well they sent it to a collection agency who began calling my cell phone 20 to 30 times a day, starting at 7-8 am in the morning and going to 11 pm at night. At first I just ignored them...BUT! they began filling up my message box with automated phone recordings and bothering the hell out of me and everyone around me. SO!! last night I picked up the phone and told them "DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!" after explaining to them that they had recieved the collection notice after I had already been paying on the bill, and to only contact me by mail from now on. The lady was very nice and said "We will mark down on your account that you made payments and that we are not to call you again. Now I know the law says they have to obay my demands. But they have chosen not to, last night in the middle of the night they called 2 more times. I did not here it. This morning "MOTHERS DAY!" they called at 8 am, Pissed I answered, and re-iterated that they could no longer call me or herrass me by telephone. This WOMAN! began to argue and yell at me, so I said my piece and hung up. The reason I'm writing this is, does anyone know how I can deal with these people and even give them a scare for there money? I'm so pissed at them I could screem, and I know the laws on my side, but not sure where to look or how to deal with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. take care all.
