Sorrow, Regret, Pain, and Sadness
Happiness, Joy, Excitement, and Love
All words of powerful emotion
All of them are bond to me through you
Some days I face the later
Some the former
I smile now thinking about it
Wonder if it is all worth it
If not, might it be worth it one day?
They’re a mixed bag
That I often can’t handle
I reach into that bag
I try to pull something good out
But they are hard to separate
As I experience one, it pulls the rest with it
They fall loose to the ground
I drop to my knees, scrambling
I must hide them away before they overwhelm me
Too much
Too much
My face drops to the ground
Crying, sobbing, I yell out
Will it ever be worth it?!
The tears flow down my face
I listen to the silence of my thoughts
My jumbled thoughts give nothing
No answer comes my way
The cliché of only time telling is a lie
Time cares not of my problems
Time watches me on my knees
It waits for me to get up
It waits for me to go find my answer
The answer that might not exist
