Protesters
I am so angry and upset about what I am seeing on the TV about these proteters at the RNC. I am upset about the treatment of the police and that these people feel it is their right to be so destructive and disobedient to our laws and society. This is NOT freedom speech; this is violence and against the law. How do we explain this behavior to our children. I am so upset I want to write letters to the papers, but I know it will do no good. Who do they think they are to throw feces and urine at other human beings. This is a form of war on our city streets. How is that right by people that are pretending to be "anti war". I am honestly so upset that my stomach hurts. What will the next couple of days bring. They just said that the last day will be the worst. What is to come? I pray for all those police and National Guard that are giving of their lives to bring peace. I fear for the poor that are at the Dorothy Day shelter right in the middle of all of it. I think I need to shut the TV off and pray. Can you tell I am upset?
