I just came back from Kansas City where I spent several hours of my afternoon catching up with a girl I met my freshman year of college. It's funny because when I first Aarika I was fairly intimidated by her. It's hard not to be intimidated by a high schooler who had already taking enough credit hours to be considered a junior in college when you are just beginning. But as I got to know her I found out how much we actually had in common and now that she's in her second of six years at UMKC's medical school program I find that we have even more in common. She's a dedicated student and it was definitely encouraging to meet up with her as I head into finals week next week. My final's schedule is actually quite ideal and I don't expect any of my finals to be ridiculous so that's a good feeling. So here's the rundown until the end of this semester:
Wednesday, December 7 - French Composition Paper due status: needs a little fine tuning
Monday, December 12 - Western Civilization Final status: need to review the textbook/ consolidate notes
Tuesday, December 13 - Ecology Final status: lotsa book reading to be done before I'm ready
Thursday, December 15 - Genetics Final status: some studying/ reading needs to be done but overall feel confident
Friday, December 16 - French Composition Final status: need to review/ consolidate notes
Friday, December 16 - Medieval French Literature Take-home Final due status: have already begun and will meet up with another member of the class later this week
Overall, I'm feeling pretty good about the end of this semester but will be glad to have it behind me. It hasn't been exactly the smoothest ride but things are looking much better for next semester. Well, that's all the news I got (I know it isn't much; my life is boring). I still am not sure when I will be in St. Louis before Christmas. Hope the end of the semester is winding down well for everyone else.
