Fall

It's officially fall and it is starting to feel like it too. Today when I walked up to the dining hall it was a cool, crisp morning and when I walked down to the gym it was a warm, pleasant afternoon. This and the changing color of leaves is why I love Fall. I love all the seasons but I think Fall is my favorite. So, I'm not sure where I've left you in my life...

Currently my life revolves around going to classes (Genetics, French Composition, French Medieval Literature, Ecology and Western Civilization I), being in the research laboratory (I'm looking at about 12 hours a week for the next five weeks), going to church (I started leading a study of the gospel lessons) and being with Joel. All in all, I couldn't be happier. I've already had my first round of tests and papers and things are going very smoothly. I have another set coming up in about a week but I'm not too worried. I'm on top of things and that's a great way to be.

Joel and I are thinking about taking a trip to Minnesota for my fall break where we may get a chance to see Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" live. They are currently sold out of tickets for the show but if you line up 4 hours before the show you can get what are called "rush" tickets for half price. I think that we may do that as it would give me time to do homework and him time to read. We are also planning on visiting the University of MN and going to the Mall of America. If you can think of other things we "must" do or see please let me know. I'll leave you with a quote from "A Prairie Home Companion" that I like especially since I'm part Swede. Love to all!

"You almost can't go wrong with Swedes. They put in a 12-hour day and then go home and worry about it." - Gov. Sebelius on "A Prairie Home Companion" Sept. 10th
