I don't have much to say but I feel like I owe you all an update. So here we go...
I am now in my third week of class (I'm taking physics II) and we had our second test today. The professor is really strange and I don't believe does a very good job of explaining himself. His tests are really funky too although I did rather well on the previous one. I shall see how I did on this one tomorrow. Yea!
Aside from class I have been working in the lab on my summer research project which is going very well. I have extracted 10 plants' DNA and will be setting up a PCR on Friday and hoping to get my first results sometime next week. Also, next week I will be working with radioactive material which should be a great deal of fun.
Other things that have been occupying my time are church and spending time with Joel and other friends. Church has been interesting as we are still struggling with what the Episcopal bishop, Bishop Wolfe, has planned. He claims that he has a plan for ministry but has not told any of those involved with the campus ministry currently what his plans are; furthermore, he doesn't appear to be making any progress on his "plans." It's not so much frustrating, as annoying. Bah!
Last weekend, Joel and I went to Topeka where we saw "Batman Begins" in the newest movie theater in town. Joel mowed the lawn while I napped and then we went to the mall to get his watch fixed. I really like being in Topeka. It's a good city.
On Monday, Laura came over and showed me different make-up stuff (she's a Mary Kay Saleswoman) and I made coffee drinks. Monday night I helped fold newsletters for the Lutheran Campus Ministry. Tuesday was spent studying and tonight Joel is cooking dinner. I'm thinking about going to the grocery store and then going and washing my car. I think I will take Joel's car to the car wash this afternoon while he is at work.
That's about it for now. Not really sure what I am going to do this weekend. Maybe I'll spend some time at Clinton Lake. I think it would be fun to go canoing but we shall see.
Please let me know what's going in your lives by updating you journal or leaving me a comment.
