Lonely
I am back at KU and it is awesome. My apartment is all comfy and what-not but it is a bit lonely. Katie, my roommate, is working a ton so I am alone for quite a bit of the time. I'm sure I will miss this time once classes have begun but at this point it is quite depressing.
Yesterday, I watched "Toy Story" while organizing our kitchen and then I went over to Canterbury House, Episcopal-Lutheran Campus Ministry, to discuss what is going to happen this coming school year. We have some stuff planned but it always seems we do a hell of a lot of talking and not much doing and that drives me up a wall. At least the living room carpet got cleaned. Saturday evening from 5pm until 10, Joel and I steam cleaned the carpet. 5 hours! After Canterbury, I invited Lindsey (she was at Meramec with me this summer) over to watch a movie and eat ice cream. It was good fun we saw "13 going on 30." Then I went to bed.
Today, I got up early and cooked myself breakfast. I picked up my parking permit, bus pass and books. I deposited a check and now I am headed up the dining hall to have lunch with Lindsey. After lunch I am picking up my Arts Card and Sports Card and then I am going into Kansas City to go to Organized Living. I promised Madeleine (a Canterbury House resident) that I would help her weed the front yard after 5pm this evening so I will drop by there after my run to Kansas City. I don't think we'll do much weeding as it has been raining off and on all morning. ::shrug:: Well, that's all the news from Lawrence. Hope things are going well with everyone, I'm off to lunch where I am envisioning a large cup of coffee with my name on it.
