Kushina had lived in a thousand houses, but the night she lost her family, she lost her home.
Konoha had welcomed her but was always like a hand-me-down sweater that never quite fit right and itched some even if it was warm, and even though few knew about the fox in her, her violent temper worked well enough to keep people away from her.
It was only when Minato, a summery boy too at peace for the violent world he operated in, came into her life and wrapped her in an overabundance of love that she found her lost home again.
