Summary: Ino is not happy with Sakura.
The walk back to her apartment was as bad as she thought it would be. Maybe, no one stared at her quite as much as she thought they did, but Sakura could feel a thousand eyes on her as she took each aching step. By the time she got back home, she was ready to collapse.
“And where have you been?” Ino drawled as she stepped inside.
Sakura looked over at her friend, eating a grapefruit, and the sight of her broke something in Sakura. “I slept with Sasuke,” she blurted out.
Ino’s spoon fell to the table. “You did what?”
“I slept with Sasuke,” she repeated.
“Please don’t tell me that you are planning on having his child now,” Ino said.
“I am.”
“Have you gone mad?” Ino asked. “The other day you said that you weren’t going to do it because you weren’t ready, and it wasn’t for the right reasons. Why did you change your mind?”
“Hinata got hurt. I just thought that if I had Sasuke’s child, then she would not have to worry about Madara anymore,” Sakura said. Tears were gathering in her eyes, and she wasn’t quite sure why.
“Is that really why you decided to sleep with him?” Ino asked. “Or is that just what you are telling yourself? Because this seems like a convenient way to justify being with Sasuke to me. I doubt that you fucking Sasuke will really stop Madara from being an asshole. Just like I really doubt that Sasuke having a child will stop Madara from trying to claim the position of head of the Uchiha clan, and I think that you are smart enough to know better than that.”
“I’m just trying to help Hinata,” Sakura said.
