I read about this new web-based program called Longbox Digital Comics.  I like how their doing a free software download and the price for downloads might be for $.99 per comic book issue.  What is strange is many people already use .cbr files and read their comics on computer.  I for one am ancient and like the feel of a hard copy in my hands.  What is nice about digital comics is how much space they save.  I do not mind the 10-20 long boxes in my house (I am more in the 50 range/NERD), yet having everything in a compact phone or on my desktop would be nice.  Even the price is okay, though I would probably use Longbox and download .cbr comics off my favorite search engines free of charge.

I was never one to use iTunes for the purchase of music.  First, I would download a music album online and listen to it.  If it was worth having I would purchase the CD, if not those music files are going in my computers trash can.  I would purchase the books from my local store as I usually do.  If a very good issue or run of books is available online in bootleg .cbr format, I would read them using Longbox.  I would have a hardcopy and a digital copy for certain comics.

I am still not jumping on the phone apps bandwagon though I can see how convenient they are and their spiffy phones associated with them.  I still have my 40 GB iPod which holds songs and photos, which is out of date because it does not play video files.  I have used it for so long and will keep on using it because it is still very useful as a replacement to my car radio.  I am not into the unlimited text messaging when it would probably be cheaper to spend the $20 fee for unlimited text on an unlimited data/time plan for a phone. I would use instant messenger over unlimited text any day of the week.  I will look into different phone plans for AT&T and see if one is good enough whenever my current plan runs out and I am in need of a new phone.

One person wanted to know which books I cannot do without.  (*) Indicate the first books I plan on reading which should give a good hint on what titles I am currently enjoying.  Unfortunately, I do not read all of the titles, a small portion end up getting bagged, boarded, and then boxed right after I purchase them.

It looks like I will go over my limit again for the second consecutive week.  I need more bags and boards which I will incorporate into my final total.  I think I will spend a total of $130 minus a $10 coupon ($15.02 including tax going toward bags and boards).  That would mean I would be spending an extra $34+ over my $80 spending cap.
