Starsky stopped(e)
This is a short snippet I wrote last week. Monika challenged me to write something in Danish, so I did - and then I wrote a translation as well - ‘cause I think few will get it otherwise, anyway :) It was really interesting trying to write in Danish. English might be my second language, but when it comes to Starsky and Hutch, it’s sorta my first, too.

Som Hutch ville. Gjorde.
Som Starsky burde havde gjort.
BANG!
Dap -- dap -- dap - dap! Hurtige trin.
NEJ! NEJNEJNEJ
Tyve skridt var nok. Ti sekunder til at tilkalde ambulancen. To til at sige farvel. Én til elsker--
--dig.
Heldigvis var Starsky bedre til at holde fast end det og trak sekunderne langt, langt ud. Så lang tid, at Hutch ku’ nå at beklage sig. Så var det fandens og helvede og pisoglort og hvad I skidehelvedefandenSHIT! er det du gør Starsky??? Store idiot! Som om jeg ikk' ku' dø bedre end dig!!
Der er tyve skridt fra din seng, gennem døren, til den næste dør - og hele vejen tilbage. Jeg ka' ikke gå længere. Starsky; der’er 20 skridt. Til din dør - du dør? Bedre, hvis jeg bliver her, tror jeg, holder dig i hånden.

Twenty steps was enough. Ten seconds to call the ambulance. Two to say goodbye. One to love--

Luckily Starsky held on better than that and stretched the seconds. So long that Hutch could complain. Then it was damn and hell and fuck and shit and fuckindamnittofuckinhHELL! what're you doing, Starsky?? Big idiot! As if I couldn't die better than you!!
There's twenty steps from your bed, through the door, to the next door -- and all the way back. I can't go on. Starsky, you’re 20 steps away. To your door - you die? Door is almost die - almost the same word. Better if I stay here, I think. At least I could guide you, hold your hand.
