Old Lady: Look at the little readheaded girl!
Old Man: And those brown eyes!
Old Lady: The hair is such a lovely colour!
I WAS THE ONLY REDHEAD ON THE BUS PEOPLE! I'M 23 AND I HAVE BLUE EYES!
Still, I felt warm and fuzzy and took it as a compliment. I take their senile chatter to mean I look young, skinny and beautiful. Can we clone them please?
Anyhoo, time for a real, bonified update. Today was my second day as a supervisor at work! I'm still really nervous, since I have to monitor and coach people. I'm pretty shy, so even just approaching people scares the hell out of me! I was pretty wary about going for this job, but I think I'll get used to it. And I'm making a lot more money than I would be if I had remained an interviewer. I'm not allowed to talk about what I make, but I feel a lot more at ease with the fact that I'll be "bringing home the bacon" so to speak come January. Greg's just got one more semester left, and he's done university!
I'll be applying for Grad school in January, for a Masters in Library and Information Studies at Dal. I hope to hell I get in, as much fun as working at a call center is (and it's not), I can't wait to have an awesome paying job. I want to move into our own house soon (in the next 5 years) and then start a family (in about 7 or so years!), and working at a job like this is not going to make that a reality.
I'm still knitting as much as I can, working on Christmas presents right now. After Christmas I want to design my own purse out of this yarn, with chains and lots of metal hardware. Awesome.
Anyhoo, that's enough for now. I'm going to wander off and watch The Tudors or something.
