Love is what they'll get when they break up...

I am glad to hear that I am not alone.

Below, an e-mail reply from none other than Sarah Sherman: first of all, i'm sorry to hear about the powerbook with o/s version freakin' 8.6 that only has enough room to run freakin' netscape communicator. that blows. but if it makes you feel any better, my computer usually freezes up at least once a day and has to be unplugged. last week I would open a web page then click on a link to get to another one, only to have the iMac tell me it didn't have enough memory to do that. very perplexing. and yeah, i forgot about netscape too - we used that in...fourth or fifth grade, i think. our computers should get together and have a little tea party - they have a lot in common. whenever you shut mine down, it runs back to january 1 1904. that's almost as random as april 1972. i wanna bring my own computer. :P.

So, even out in the real world, and not just in The Lion's Pride newsroom, are journalists severely deprived of competent technology. Oh, and the first sentence is practically quoted from yours truly. What can I say? When I get frustrated, I get stupid. It's okay though. As I like to say, writing a good e-mail is an art that would be lost without me.
and i'm sorry about the measly certificate story. i hope that went well for you, even though it is definitely stupid. i don't know if this cheers you up, or if you already know about it, but i found this at ticketmaster and thought it had christina lee written all over it: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/15003CA2BAD1E3A5

Sarah knows me too well. I had tickets for that concert before the school year even ended. I am slightly more excited to see the openers -- Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (finally!) and Broken Social Scene -- but the entire thing should be a good time nonetheless.
