I may have lost my geek license.

This weekend, my parents came back from their week away, and my dad asked me if I wanted to go and see the Dark Knight. I said that I didn't feel like it, and asked, instead, to go see Wall-E.

I later realised that it's still a very geeky choice. It's also a really great film - the majority of the film (including the stronger first half) is largely dialogue-free, which means that we get to see how good Pixar are at storytelling. And it's a very well-crafted, enjoyable film.

In other news: I'm back in St Andrews for a couple of days, and hopefully about to start actually doing maths work again, for the first time in ages.
