Right. So, this is it. In the next 52 and a half hours or thereabouts, I have three honours exam, which will determine 46.5 credits worth of grades, which should be 17.547...% of the credits that go towards my final honours grades, or thereabouts. I slightly wish I'd not done that calculation, to be honest.
I ended up doing some revision for Symbolic Computation, which consisted of me doing the only past paper, which was last time's one, which I was able to answer almost entirely by copy-pasting sections of the solutions to tutorial sheets which have been made available, and will be available during the exam, plus some minor alterations. Is it possible to have your exam paper discounted under plagirism regulations? This course is arguably easier than MT1008. It's not that easy to argue, certainly, but I'd say, since there's only one piece of work to submit, which, admittedly, you've got to come up with an idea for, in addition to the exam, so you can just not do any work on the course for 7 weeks, do the project, then sit the exam [with 2 weeks gap between those two].
Having said that,I'm now going to fail - it's sort of an attempt to tempt fate which I now highlight, to try and convince fate I want to fail this or something [I do, on some level - it's not something I'd say my work on deserves much for], and hopefully confuse murphy's law or something and then end up failing as a byproduct. Something like that.
I discovered that the maths department have paid £9000 a year for licences for MAPLE to allow it to be made available on all classroom computers campus wide, and they were slightly annoyed to be told that that's not in place yet.
The next 50 hours should be be a nightmare. Except the ones I'm asleep for, and I'm discounting the last of these exams, on the basis that I'll probably be too frazzled to be particularly self-aware for it. After that, I can breathe a sigh of relief, look forward to relaxing and get ready to go out and sit an exam a week today which I've not looked at material for in ages. Hopefully can go out or relax or something before that. Really need to lose weight. Anyway, now to revise for symbolic, for tonight we die.
