Got home at 8 am on Monday morning, babbled insensibly to Caz and then promptly did my impression of Snorty, the Dwarf who Snores too much.
Today will officially suck now that I have made a mess of Monday and have to read The rest of Book 1 of the damn Faerie Queene AND come up with a five-page annotated bibliography. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAh. This is what I get for being a good little football fan.

Did anyone else know that there is a suspiciously Aslan-like Jesus lion in The Faerie Queene? And also a very suspiciously Shelob-like evil devil/spider monster as well? I remember reading somewhere that both C.S. Lewis and Tolkein were both Spenserian scholars and this seems to lend credence to the thought that Spenser provided prototypes for modern day fantasy villains.
