An open letter to the Final Four Bound Mens & Womens basketball teams...
I can't even begin to explain how amazing it has been to experience Michigan State University for the last 3 years. It truely has been a dream come true. And the next weekend has potential to be one the greatest weekend yet. I'm not quite sure how to fully explain it, but here goes...
Thank you...
- for pulling an entire campus together for one hell of a three week run
- for keeping March Madness the greatest sports event of the year, EVERY YEAR
- for representing the greatest University in the world with nothing but class
- for showing the college basketball world that the big ten will ALWAYS be a premier conference, even if we are experiencing a "down year"
- for making me (almost) completely forget about the terrible experience that was the Iowa game in the Big Ten Tournament
- for leaving everything you've got on the hardwood
- for allowing all the diehard Spartan students, both past & present, to experience something they are sure never to forget it
But most importantly, thank you for letting this Spartan go through it all with you. I will never forget my four years here. From the first second I moved onto campus, to the day I leave the Breslin Center with a degree in my hand. Spartan basketball has been a part of me, From the '94 tournament where Weber State ended Jud's career, to 114-63, 3 consecutive final fours and cuttin 'em down in Indianapolis. Now, im not just cheering with all I've got for the Spartans, I'm rooting for my friends...
GO STATE, bring home the hardware...
