And to think I was not looking forward to our Mayday picnic. It was a success and the students seemed to have a wonderful time....well except for Malfoy, that is.
I'm sure his father would not have enjoyed the spectacle the Matthews girl made of him or Slytherin. That would not have happened in my day.
Luckily for Draco, Malfoy senior is safely behind bars and Snape in the infirmary.
Though we were unable to make the treasure hunt as well rounded as we would have liked to, the students did seem to enjoy themselves. Ron Weasly seemed quite proud of his prize, it must be hard to stand out in a family with so many siblings, especially those twins.
Oh and Bill, oh yes Bill.
I was very happy with the performance of my OWLS and NEWTS level students, they did quite well on all the clues that involved runes. I'll admit I could not get any of the muggle clues that Eve created, though the students did fine.
It was nice to see Silvia Sinistra out in the daytime, I wonder how many cups of tea that required.
Took a spin in one of the boats with Conbec, what a coward, whined the whole time. I guess he was afraid he would fall in
and the squid would have him for dinner.
Silly doggie.
He was happy to be back on land with Fang and that itty, bitty dog who's name escapes me. I have taken to calling him Napoleon. He is quite the little general with those big hounds.
Conbec enjoyed the picnic very much until I found him nicking food from the students plates.
Bad doggie.
The band was interesting and as Tonks (who should lock her posts better) wrote in her journal the lead singer was very yummy...even in a dress. When one could understand the lyrics they were amusing.
Unfortunately the fireworks scared Conbec, so I did not see any I was sitting in his kennel consoling the big baby.
I wonder how Snape is doing? I hope he will be up and around soon. Back to his usual routine of sneering and dark looks in the staff room.
It is missed.
Very much.
