Festive Update Part 1
Today’s my first (working) day of full-time employment and here I am on LJ :P
M and I spent the w’end b4 X’mas with his fam on the Qld central coast. We saw our 2.75yo nephew and he’s going through a clingy and moody phase atm but still adorable, of course. It was quite a pleasant trip actually - not too much fam to deal with and no travelling (apart from the train up there and back).
Suddenly a week of crazy shopping was upon me :P We went to Chermy during their 37-hr shop-a-thon… 10pm wasn’t late enough for the crowds to have died down so we tried again at midnight which was only a little better. We went home at 2am - just can’t stay up like I used to!
M and I spent Xmas day cooking and eating our feast:-
B’fast - Canadian stack (pancakes, syrup, bacon and eggs) plus a cup of tea
Lunch - prawn cocktail
Dinner - our first roast! Lamb with potatoes, carrots and pumpkin and a runny gravy :)
We chilled out for the rest of the day and watched TV and movies. Oh and we opened presents! M got me an LG chocolate phone!! (So awesomely sexy and so is the phone!!) And I also got a huge book of artworks from the 1400s to present day - very interesting looking at the progression.
I got M some drumming lessons, movie voucher card, underwear, the Can’t Hardly Wait DVD and some manly scotch tumblers :)
