Update

Well it's been quiet on the front here since I sprained my ass :P

Here are the highlights:-

Sat 4 Feb
Stayed at the Sebel Suites, opposite where Festival Hall was, and had a great night! It's actually an apartment with seperate bedroom and living areas. We had sushi and Oporto for lunch and we took bubble tea and my newspaper (which I am STILL reading) back to the a/c at the hotel. I went to walk down to the 7-11 for snacks and was re-alerted to the fact that there's a Baskin & Robbins down there, too! Oh two scoop sundae joy :D We also took our X-Box to the hotel so much TV and gaming ensued.

We stayed up all night - shenanigans! - and had Macca's for breakfast. The late check out came in handy and we were well broken by then anyway.

Thu 9 Feb
After Music work I went to yoga with isi13.

I then met up with dms0 who's visiting from the UK atm, J & G (who have just returned from the US after 2 months) and T (who has been in India for the past month) for a coffee and major chat. (As so happens crazycatgirl and sirkahless were also running around the Valley Mall so we said hi.)

Sat 11 Feb
I went to visit Amanda and informed her that she had me until 3pm. We went shopping for food and turned up to Andy's place at 2.50pm for a BBQ and swim :P

I then picked Jacki up and went over to Jarrod & Kat's place and went rollerblading. Lainey + sport = disaster! We bladed in one direction and then turned around so on the way back, a gentle slope downwards took me way too fast down a wooden slatted bridge and I was too far from a railing and nowhere near grass (fancy that :P). I panicked and must have fell off the back of the rollerblades and landed on my butt rather frigging hard. I was finally able to get up and limped back to J & K's place. I was in quite a bit of shock as my teeth were chattering so I got some ice for my butt and water for me.

I dropped Jacki off and was relieved to be home and M surveyed the damage. Kat lent me Paraderm cream which is an antiseptic and anaesthetic and I highly recommend it.

I was barely mobile and getting in and out of MyCar was a nightmare but M and I still went out for dinner at Koh-Ya Yakiniku Japanese BBQ Grill with the Thu coffee crowd. I took a cushion in and painfully shifted myself around every 15 minutes or so. It was a good night of hanging out despite the awful pain.

This week
I only made it into Music work for 90 minutes on Wed to collect materials for the big Concert Diary mailout and everyone agreed that I could work from home. For those who are interested, the latest Concert Diary is available on our website now!

I'm at call centre work today and this 6-hour shift is getting achey!

The only good thing that's come out of this is that it's given me lots of time to think of tunes in my head! I've composed a bit but my studio set up isn't quite right and bending over to fix it is not a great option atm. I've also been reading my text book so it's been good to spend time on my Masters :)
