Fri 6 Jan evening
Chilled out and entertained M’s bro some more.

Sat 7 Jan
Watched about 15 episodes of Robot Chicken cos M’s bro wanted to catch up on them :P We’ve also been entertaining him with John Safran Vs God and Speaking in Tongues.

And damnation, my hairdresser isn't free until Thursday :P

M’s pares came down to see their younger son off but wanted us to go out to dinner with them, too. M feels with his family what I feel with mine - love them and they’re nice ppl but really we do not have a lot to talk about. So hours of small talk was not appealing - add frustration and it was a pretty crappy night. We also ran out of smokes :P

Sun 8 Jan
I spent the arvo hanging with isi13 and dreeft and even met his parents :P Jacki gave me a French manicure and it’s so pretty that I can’t stop looking at it :)

Chilled out with M for the evening desperately scraping dregs to improve our crappy w’end. We watched Layer Cake which was mostly decent. I think we weren’t in a state to remember who all the characters were so it was a little confusing but mmm… Sienna Miller (I’d only ever seen her hang off Jude Law.)

More fun was watching Nathan Barley - as annoying as the character is, the story is now going somewhere so it’s less annoying :P I must go check out his website trashbat.co.ck (pronounced Trashbat dot cock on the show).

Also been watching a lot of Naruto ninja anime. I’ve learnt to play his theme on the flute ;)

Mon 9 Jan
Awoke full of beans and ambition. Did some yoga before work. Had a productive day at Music then grocery shopped with my iPod.

Actually caught some news while cooking beef stroganoff - reading just the headlines on news.com.au is usually enough to get the gist of the day. I’d like to see/read more arts stuff but not sure where to start. Apparently The Courier Mail Saturday BAM section is a waste of space.

Tue 10 Jan
Drove M to work so he wouldn’t get wet (I highly recommend an umbrella tho… :P)

I did some yoga, read a little of my textbook Illegal Harmonies (book by Andrew Ford based on his radio program of the same name, about modern composition particularly in Australia), listened to the Borodin String Quartet No. 2 while studying the score and thought up a few ideas for my own string quartet, made a CD of my music to give to 4MBS manager and made an uber sandwich for lunch. Very productive 3 hrs!

I’ve ordered new and upgrade music software so I should be officially composing again very soon.

Go 2006!!
