Also, I think S3 has a lot of good stuff -- "The Zeppo", "Doppelgangland", "Earshot". bibliolicious is arguing for "Fool for Love", but I think that may be too character-dependent.
I wasn't so impressed with "Lie to Me" (except I loved the bit with Giles at the end).
I agree with you on "Fool for Love", but I fear "The Zeppo" and "Doppelgangland" may also be too character dependent (they both hinge on looking at one of the characters in a different light, which makes them interesting mainly because you know the characters).
"Earshot", on the other hand, is an interesting idea. I don't remember it very well, except some wonderful bits (Oz's thoughts!). There isn't much dependence on back story, then?
Worst stunt double (for the dinner lady) ever though; stuff like that slips straight by me usually but her/them and some vampire in a very early Angel episode (not the one, looking back, that grew up to be Sawyer from Lost: one in a suit) were rubbish.
