80 acres: How dry?
Though other places got some of the scattered rain here in the past few days (including some seriously good amounts) we did not. A sprinkle, a brief drizzle, though to wet--for a few minutes--the tops of leaves. Nothing more.
This is behind the house, beyond the water garden...those trees have lost more than half their leaves to drought and some of them are dying now.
In spite of that, we still find small beauties here and there on the land, and right now some of my favorite combinations of color are still out there....combinations of purple and green.
