Gotta post this or I'll forget.
When I was a kid, the company my dad worked for sponsored Martin Brundle's formula three car. I don't remember this at all but I remember the photos of me sat in the car. They're still about somewhere. This happened to come up in conversation with my dad today. Apparently, we went to most races that season, and there are also photos of me with Eddie Jordan, and possibly Ayrton Senna. Though I can't place the date since that would make it 1983 which was the year I was born but I'm not a baby in the photos. Anyway. The one thing I do remember is being driven around a racetrack by someone in a black Porsche (I was a fair bit older then). Dad's just told me that it was at Snetterton, and the guy driving was Paul Radisich, who at the time was driving touring cars, in fact he won the world cup a couple of times, probably around the time that I met him. The guy who my dad worked with who was the catalyst for the sponsorship is racing old jags now, in fact my dad saw him on the TV recently. How cool is that?
Why doesn't any cool stuff happen anymore? And why do I only remember boring stuff? Bah. Now I really have to go find those old photos.
