I just finished reading The Lovely Bones.  While not one of the best books I have read, it was a good read and made me cry.  I sort sympathized with the mother in the book for a little while but then I totally didn't understand what she did in the end, how she could leave her children behind and not see them for what, 5+ years?!?!  The story took a odd turn towards the end which didn't seem keeping with the story.   An out of body , or should I say into body experience.  What I did like about this odd turn was how the girl used her 'in body' experience moments to experience life, love and sensations versus using the time for vengeance against her murderer.  I dislike the fact that the murderer got away but that is sadly realistic.
