I am getting so tired of growing my hair out. Since middle school I have been an emotional hair cutter. Angry, depressed, bored...into the bathroom with scissors: out with less tresses.
I've been growing out my hair for what seems forever sometimes and I'm not supposed to chop it until April because that's when baseball starts again.
What's great about cutting your hair all the time is that you don't have to worry so much about damage. Now I do. And I'm not a fan of it.
In passing I happened to mention to my mother how fed up I was with the whole process. I talked about hacking it all off and the possibility of a mohawk. To which she said:
"Why? Then you'll just be like everyone else with a mohawk."
--As opposed to every other brunette with long hair? What's your point woman? I never said I wanted to make a statement about individualism in our society...I just wanted to be rid of my troublesome hair.
