Home Again, Home Again...
Well, I'm back from Cincinnati. I spent most of the day puttering around my house, being anti-social and pouty. Coming home wasn't as bad as previous years, partly because my new apartment is still pretty and new and makes me happy. (And it smelled strangely of cookies when I first came home - not sure I want to know why.)
All in all, we had a lot of fun. We took many, many photos. We found a few new players and renewed our love for other older players. We saw some really amazing matches. We were naughty and silly in the best ways. We got too much sun and not enough sleep and felt lucky, as always, to be there.
There were also some sad moments, though, and I'm madder then ever that they seem so determined to change the tournament for the worst. We did agree, though, that we'll probably go back next year, while the tournaments are still just back-to-back and not completely combined. After that, who knows?
So, I'm wondering if anyone want to read recaps or see photos? Last year's went largely unnoticed, and they are rather time consuming. If you are interested, let me know and I'll get something posted ASAP.
One strange thing I did come back with is a renewed desire to write. Not fanfiction, sadly, though there was plenty of inspiration for that. I find myself wanting to write more non-fiction tennis essays, so that's what I've been doing. I was planning to get tennis_struck up and running again, and there's no time like the present.
