Yay! I finally found someone to buy my tickets to the women's tournament! (Again.) She sounds like one of those women we generally avoid talking to, but she was nice enough on the phone, and I'm much less worried that she's going to bail. Plus, she lives about ten minutes from the tournament grounds, so it will be super easy to meet up with her to exchange the tickets for the money.
Only two weeks to go! So much to do! So little time! The only things in my new fabulous suitcase is my new fabulous sunscreen and my new fabulous hat.
Also, it's hot here. Ridiculously hot. It seems like every year we have a heat wave right before my trip, and this one is a dozy. 95 yesterday, 104 today, and 104 tomorrow. My HLP and I like to say that it's conditioning to get us ready for Cincinnati, but it still sucks. I'm already making plans NOT to go home tonight. My new apartment stay relatively cool, but not cool enough. I'm thinking dinner out, and then a movie. Tomorrow it's supposed to be even hotter, so more of the same. Maybe I'll grab my shiny new laptop and sit at the library to write for a while.
Last Sunday, the Christian Kane show was excellent practice for Cincinnati. It was hot, crowded, and we were surrounded by fangirls. We both coming to appreciate Steve Carlson, by the way. He's definitely got that certain something. After the last show, we both admitted we spent a significant amount of time looking at him instead of Christian Kane.
At work this morning I was asked to be nicer to one of my co-workers, who has complained to our supervisor that I "don't like" her. My response? Something along the lines of, "Tell her to stop being such a bitch to me, and maybe I'd like her more!"
Lastly, how come none of the Brits on my friends list told me about Being Human? Because I've only seen one episode and I'm completely in love with it.
