Descent into Geekery

I'm making another trip up to Seattle in a couple weeks, this time with the HLP.  We'll be taking the train up and just staying one night, but it will be nice to get away.  I'm going for the Star Wars exhibit at PacSci, and she's going for the EMP.  (Well, she says it's for the vegetarian hot dog place, but I think that's just because she hasn't seen the EMP yet.)  I'm still torn about whether it's fair to demand that she watch all the Star Wars movies before we go, because she hasn't seen half of them, and the ones she has, she hasn't seen in literally decades.  Just thinking about the exhibit has me watching all the movies myself, plus seeing how many Star Wars novels I can get through before we go.  So far, I'm averaging a book every two days, but I just started Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy, and I think that will do me in.

In other geekery, the new season of Doctor Who begins on Saturday on BBC America, and I am just excited enough to call myself ridiculous.  I can't wait to see Mark Sheppard!  How many more of my favorite shows can that man be on?  Oh, and I've decided what my next tattoo will be...the Tardis.

For a fair representation of all my obsessions, I'll just need the Tardis, the Slytherin house insignia, the Starfleet Sciences badge (classic), the tennis ball logo that the HLP and I designed, a lightsaber (green), the X-Men shield, a couple lines of Tolkien's Barrow Wight's Chant, and something representing all the awesome that is Joss Whedon.  Whew.  I think I'm going to need more skin!

Dear Universe,
I do not really need any more skin.  Thank you.
