Brisingamen
BPAL's description: The amber necklace of Freyja, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. [...] A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle, and carnation.
In the bottle: at first whiff it's mostly powdery - the ambers I guess? but I can also smell the apple blossom and something...deeper? I don't really know how to describe it. I wish I knew what myrtle smelled like because it could be that or it could just be another component of the ambers.
Wet: still quite powdery and that deeper note is definitely overpowering any apple present. I'm not sure that I like it.
Drydown: it's left me smelling like powder that's been in the back of my grandma's cabinet too long. I'm not getting any floral notes at all any more. bah.
Update: I dabbed it down a bit with some water because it was just overpoweringly powdery and now it's not too bad. I may try it again sometime but apply it more lightly.
Conclusion: test again but probably sell

Desire
BPAL's description: The overwhelming agony of passion crystallized into a singularly dark and magnetic blend: bittersweet neroli, black patchouli and black musk, gilded by apple, bergamot, blood red rose, teak, and vanilla.
In the bottle: mmmm, spicy. I can't really pick out specific notes but so far so good. :)
Wet: grr. it has taken on that kind of "plain body oil" smell that I got with Baghdad. I think I may detect the vanilla ever so slightly but it needs to get stronger if I'm going to keep this.
Drydown: thankfully it has improved dramatically. I'm getting spicy/woody notes with hints of fruit and floral. the vanilla seems to have disappeared though. overall a nice scent but not one I think I'd wear much.
Conclusion: sell?

Sin
BPAL's description: Thouroughly corrupted: amber, sandalwood, black patchouli and cinnamon.
In the bottle: whooboy that's strong! I think I caught a hint of the cinnamon (yum) but mostly the patchouli dominating.
Wet: not too bad. I think the sandalwood and cinnamon are fighting to come through. hopefully the patchouli will fade a bit more and it can be a nice scent.
Drydown: nope, I smell very wood-spicy but more like a box of incense than anything else.
Conclusion: sell
