Aside from being a little sick...things are swell!
We now have a video for Kate, currently in pre production by some fellow Wagnerians. I think I'm going to be in it too, but nothing is set in stone yet. Also, Ingrid (www.ingridmichaelson.com) is going back into the studio in a few weeks, and she has again asked me to add drums. Tonight, at her monthly show at Martini Red, we discussed playing out with Chris Kuffner at classy restaurants and such. We might do some standards along with her fantastic original material. I like that idea a lot.
It looks like Kate will be playing with Ingrid at these monthly shows at Martini starting in two months. I will join her and Ingrid for this event.
Also at Martini, I saw a Jewish rapper named SOCE, THE ELEMENTAL WIZARD. Needless to say, I bought the CD ("I'm In My Own World") after I laughed my ass off the entire show. Really funny.
Kate's website is underway which is very exciting to me. Classes are interesting this time around, but are still just time fillers between the music thingy.
TOmorrow I'm going to see a singer/songwiter in the coffeehouse. I don't remember her name, but she's apparently signed to Atlantic/Lava. Before that, I'm going to one of my fav professor's book signing parties for some wine. Looking forward to that evening...
