When diplomacy isn't diplomatic
Article in the ABC online today starts:
"Rudd's fury over Mossad passport link...Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has summoned the Israeli ambassador to "get to the bottom" of how suspected Mossad assassins used Australian passports to travel to Dubai to kill a top Hamas commander."
And I thought, it's funny, I would have assumed that Rudd, who's very much a diplomat (among other things), would be more, um, diplomatic over this.
But then it occurred to me that if you're a diplomat then the sanctity and sovereignty of passports is paramount - one of your articles of faith. Of course he'd be miffed!
