Brain Scan

Later tonight I need to do some heavy-duty writing.  I'm right up against directly dealing with some major shit from my life, and trying trying to work through it.  I hope to write more later.

In the mean time, I had a long, involved dream last night.  As is typical, I don't remember much of it, but here's what I do remember:

I was walking through my junior high school, which was in suburban Maryland, except that I was there as an adult.  Wandering through the mostly empty halls, I seemed to be both looking for someone and trying to deliver something.  I'm not sure who it was I was trying to find, but I think that I was carrying packets of photographs that I needed to bring to them.

Then I came a man who was taking pictures -- the way that you got pictures taken when you were back in junior high.  You know, you sat on a little stool in front of a screen while the cheesy cameraman told you to say cheese for your inevitably stiff-looking portrait.  So the man took my picture, and then attached some wires to my head so that he could also do something like a brain scan.  He pointed to the screen of a computer, and said that the scan indicated that I had a major mass, a blockage, in a significant part of my brain.  He didn't know what it was and said I needed to get it checked out and removed immediately.  That's when I woke up.
