My Friday Five
I had forgotten how much I have missed doing the thefridayfive.
1. What is your favorite song right now? Why?
Suite Bergamasque, Claire De Lune, No.3 by Isao Tomita. It is an gorgeous piece and it makes me feel more in touch with myself and reality when I hear it.
2. What genre of music makes you the happiest?
Adult Alternative.; preferably accoustic. I also like folk music (mainly from the oldies) and soundtracks to movies/tv show/video games.
3. What would you name your band and what kind of music would you play?
I haven't the faintest idea for a name. But, I guess I would like to perform music that is a mix of elements from Jazz, Baroque, Classical, pop, folk, rock, acoustic, and other stuff. Not all at once, of course. That would just be frightening. But, if I had a band, I would want to push our limits as far as they can go.
4. What is your favorite lyric of all time? Why?
Oh geez... There are so many. Well, for the moment, I would have to say Hallelujah as performed by John Cale. It is so beautiful, so touching and honest. And the metaphors are brilliant.
But then again, one can never forget American Pie. Now that is the product and proof of absolute pure genious.
5. What band/artist could you never live without? Why?
La'Cryma Christi for one. They are ultimately my favorite band. However, I could never live without the works of the greats such as Beethoven, Bach, John Williams, and Yoko Kanno. Without them, I would be lost.
Now, to get back to packing for Ocean City... after I rest for a little while longer. (^^;
