VEGAS!
Last weekend was definitely jam packed with Joshua's birthday fun! :)
Friday night we had a lovely dinner at Mamma Milania's (the cutest little itallian place), we went back to my place for a fun nonpeanuty birthday cake, and then departed ways rather early at 10pm for I had informed Joshua of a long "road trip" I had planned and that I had to pick him up at 4am to make breakfast reservations at the surprise destination. He was a bit shocked at the wake up time, but nonetheless like a happy kins, he agreed and did very well for being ready at 4am. heh.
While we drove I eventually got off at the airport exit, then telling him I lied and we were actually flying somewhere. When we parked I gave him a gift bag which had a white tiger, a box of magic cards, and a scratch lotto ticket...which was supposed to be the give away of my surprise birthday gift destination. He was a bit confused at the white tiger (hehe) but then figured out we were headed to Las Vegas! :)
Everything worked perfect this weekend, all the plans I had made and all of our free time worked well with each other. We got to see everything we came for and more!
On Saturday we left at 4am and we arrived in Vegas at 9:30am had the whole day to explore before having a lovely mexican dinner and seeing one of the most amazing shows Ive ever seen, "Kà" by Cirque Du Soleil. It was so awesome and if anyone reading this ever has a chance to see it, I would totally recommend it, definitely worth the steep price ;)
Sunday we slept in a bit after our nonstop saturday of getting 3 hours of sleep. We woke up and had a lovely breakfast at a very cute little restaurant in the newest Las Vegas Hotel, the Wynn. We "shopped" for a bit, and use quotes only because I couldnt find what I was looking for, so I didnt actually buy much, but it was fun to walk around all the fun stores. Though neither Joshua and I are big gamblers we tried our luck out on a few roulette tables, my lucky number, 5, was a big hit for me. We both ended up walking away with a bit more money then we came with...nothing too huge because we were pretty safe when we gambled.
It was a grand adventure overall! :)
