a place to put my butt
I have been moving stuff from the old apartment to the new one
I had a strange impromptu party with three friends from work
we were playing dominion at the office and I realized, hey! we could do this at my apartment
and so we did, and my friend Zachary joined us
and it was awesome
and I bought everyone dinner and made them move a bunch of my stuff from the old apartment to the new one
it was a really nice evening
and today I went to Shopsins for food w/ Rob
and I watched ‘I like killing flies’ which is a documentary about Shopsins
it was fun
and I moved some more stuff with Rob
the other big thing I did today was buy a sofa with my roommate
I spent a silly amount of money on a sofa
but it’s really comfy!
if one thinks about furniture as though it was from rent-a-center (what a rip-off that place is! wow!)
it’s much easier to buy things
if there was an item in your home you were willing to pay $20 a week for, you can almost spend 1K on it
(I’m not saying I *did* just that I think such a thing is justifiable)
it’s particularly justifiable if the item in question is something that is to last more than year
Rob has been a doll helping me with my move
and so were my friends from work
I’m tossing stuff, I have a lot of stuff that’s no good
I’m also donating stuff and giving it away
moving is hard
