a circus of primary colors...

Here's my page for vintageartchix's "I Feel Like A Child" book. I'm unhappy with the scan. The colors are not quite as saturated and the photo is not as dark. Also you can't get the full effect of multi-colored metallic stars on screen ( Read more... )

Neat! I like the color scheme. Did you make that fortune- the troubles- or is it from an actual fortune cookie? I used to save all my fortunes from the cookies to use in art stuff, but they'd always end up having gross grease spots. Good idea to make your own, if that's what you did!

Thanks... the colors have better cohesion in person, meaning, the crayon blends into the photo and doesn't look so deranged lol!

It's a real fortune. I bought a box of the cookies on my b-day... I'm so bad, I kept opening them until I found one I liked. :)

Oh, that's really cool...

I'm one of those people that can not leave a fortune on the table. :)

Frogger... can't cross a street without thinking about Frogger.

Pitfall...trying to jump on the crocodile's head *just right* so you didn't get eaten. The double and triple crocs were always very daunting. hehe

I was so happy when I could race over the triple crocs! That scorpion was a pain in the ass, too.

The elephant is from my jar of Archie McPhee toys... a never-ending source of inspiration. :)

I'm glad they arrived safely and am so glad you like them. I'm working on a collection of collage charms based on some of my previous artwork. Those were the first two. I visited the school's website and it looks like a fantastic place. I hope the auction is a success!!
