Yesterday was quite awesome. We visited the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and it was so cool! They had all of these exhibits about Ray Charles, Otis Reding, Emma Kelly, and so many more. Everything there was just soo nice. Then we went to Warm Springs, Georgia, which was where Franklin Delano Roosevelt set up a resort for polio victims, as well as the spot where he eventually died. I really enjoyed (he's my favorite president!) but it was very sad, and I also wish I could've had Kristen there with me...I know she would have loved as much as, or probably more, than I did.
After that we went to Plains to see the Jimmy Carter National Historic site, but it was closed, so we took lots of pictures of the signs. Now, if you didn't know, Jimmy Carter was raised on a peanut farm, and was very famous for his giant smile. So, before leaving Plains, we stopped at the Jimmy Carter Peanut, which was a 13-foot peanut with a toothy grin about three feet across. Slightly creepy, but fun all the same.
This weekend is our beach weekend at Pensacola Beach in Florida, so I'm looking forward to that. We just have to get through the next two shows we have today (we've already done one).
In other news, I'm still sick as a dog, and not quite sure why, but it sucks. Here's to feeling better for lots of beachy fun.
Now go outside and enjoy your summer!
