So how's everyone feeling a week after the finale? I know I'm still devasted... I'm gonna quote my friend askboggle because I swear she lives in my brain. Needless to say, I agree completely with her!
#620 was a traumatic episode. I spent most of it in tears. Part of me though the finale couldn't possibly be any worse than that, but sort of tried to brace myself for the worst, just in case. It is Kripke after all. But I never expected this.
I feel like everything has been turned upside down, and I don't know how they're going to fix it. Or even if they'll even try~ to fix it. If Cas dies before he has any semblance of redemption, I'll be utterly devastated. Though there are plenty in the fandom who will strongly disagree with me, for me personally, the show has never been about just Sam and Dean. It's all about family, and Cas is as much the boys' family as Bobby, John, or Mary. More than anything, I don't want someone who is important to the Winchesters, who the fans have grown to love over the course of the last three seasons, to be written out as The Bad Guy. He deserves so much more than that. WE deserve so much more than that. If Cas has to die, I'd rather it be in a blaze of glory, doing the right thing for all the reason the Winchesters stand for. Anything less will be a crushing disappointment.
