Redrum...no really RED ROOM!

Dec 21, 2005 10:56

Julie and I just moved into our new apartment last night. It was crazy but we have most of our stuff here! WOOHOO for a week in our new apartment until Heather comes home!

For those who don't know and read....
I got accepted to Maine College of Art here in Portland. I should be starting after winter break. I'm really looking forward to this...I've wanted it for a long time now.

In other news--

Sticky-Leeroy is still the man...he's cute as ever and gained a few pounds. He LOVES the snow!

Something else--

I'm working at the Nickelodeon theater...go me. I get paid shit but I figured I should have a job and help Julie out with the bills. I'm a good partner like that. Once I get into school working wont be a big deal...that's why they have loans. Working there isn't so bad, I just stand and scoop popcorn and pour soda blah blah blah...then there is about a 2 or 3 hour gap between runs so I have all the time I need to smoke a butt or two. I also get free movie passes for friends and family every month...but there's more! When I want to see a movie with say....2 or 3 people I just walk right on in (I'm assuming that's excluding opening nights). Fucking right son!

Back to breaking news--

The apartment Julie, Sticky and I live in is about a 10 minute walk to work and just about everything else in Portland. It's not ghetto and we can see the sunrise (behind building) out our bedroom window. We're pretty excited to be here except that we have to freeze our buts off to smoke. Oh well. Heather will be back on the 28th so with any luck by then we'll be all settled in and ready for her return.

Not so great news--

My fathers' blue car broke down a couple nights ago (the one I was driving). I hope my father can fix it before Friday night...Julie and I have to be up north by 6pm. My father believes it just needs an alternator. He can fix it himself if that's what it is...but if not it may need to go in for work, but really I'd rather just get my car fixed if it does need "pro" work. We'll see what happens. Moral of the story-- I don't have a car but really don't need one right now.

So that's my life as of now. I think I may talk to Julie and Heather about having a New Years Eve gathering. Perhaps not though. I'll update later to enlighten you all.

Great thanks to Ashley and Uncle Gay! They helped us move our shit. Ash helped paint our room and froze her ass off packing and unpacking the van and wagon. Thanks!

Oh BTW-- Uncle Gay and Gayvid hit it off last night. I think they could be friends. (for thoes who don't know..Uncle Gay is my uncle Don and Gayvid is the cute gay boy, David, from the third floor next door.
