Why does each doctor have a different treatment opinion for my mom???? Now her doc (oncologist) is saying she should have all of her lymph nodes removed, a mastectomy AND the chemo/radiation/hormone therapy! My poor mom

What about those cancer treatment centers that advertise on TV? Shit and I'll be damned that I can't remember their names at the moment, but they brag about knowing what's truly best and turn to alternative medicine as well as a part of the treatment....just an idea.

There are so many friggin options! The doctors can only tell her what they would recommend. They can't advise her on what treatments to try. It's just a nightmare.

I know you are probably tired of suggestions, but the American Cancer Society offers all kinds of support and assistance through these type of things and their website is www.cancer.org...just a thought as maybe they can help you/yours wade through the inconsistent bullshit for a solution and treatment?

I'm up to any suggestions at this point thanks! I'll send her the link! I think she's made up her mind NOT to have the mastectomy and the lymphnode removal. She called her surgeon and the "tumor board" is sticking with their initial thoughts...chemo,radiation and hormone therapy should be enough. But there will always be that doubt no matter what she chooses. Back to my original statement FUCK CANCER!!!
I need to find her some sort of meditation tool like a "Beating the SHIT out of cancer" doll or something!

I do believe with alternative medicine as well with all my heart and have had some amazing results with it. For example I de-acidify my body several times a year and it works WONDERS. This isn't serious stuff like cancer though... My neighbor though has had a serious illness (I am a bad friend, I forgot what it was...) and when the doctors were just using whatever drugs on her she didn't want that anymore and was lucky to find a really good alternative practitioner.
