Goings on. (Friday's list.)
1. Thinking about how, if I was in MTL/OTT this summer, I would be all over this.
2. Feeling like I'm an awesome, awesome boyfriend and general stand-up guy compared to some.
3. Happy the Penguins won.
4. Happy the NDP won.
5. Reading Andrew Coyne tear the GM bailout limb-from-fucking-limb in Maclean's:
"This year, GM and Chrysler, whose earlier bankruptcy filing was supported by another $3 billion from the Canadian taxpayer, will sell about 400,000 vehicles in this country. So you could say that every one of those vehicles was subsidized to the tune of about $32,000, or slightly more than the average price of a new car in Canada. Our governments could have bought every one of those cars-retail-for less than they have actually pledged."
6. Not feeling sad to see Dany Heatley go, but a little perplexed. Like Fish said in the Sun today, the big four all signed those contracts together. They were the building blocks. I'm not hurt. I don't feel anger. I don't feel sadness. If he were playing in a game I was watching at Scotiabank Place next season, I wouldn't even boo him. I just wanna know what we're getting in return.
7. Wishing I could live here (and no, it has nothing to do with the fact this seems to be some kinda Playboy-produced deal, to judge from the bunny that pops up in the corner):
The room, the people, the dancing, the moment in time - I wish I could live there.
