Nine sleeps left.

The closer I get to moving day, the more I feel like it's all coming together.
Movers: will be hired later today for Saturday the 30th at $89.95/hr. (I went with your EZ guys, light_echo!)
Videotron: contacted, supposed to get back to me later today with an appointment time.
Hydro: notified.
Packing: in process.
Couches: going to the South Shore; shade_o_matic is so awesome.

I've never moved completely on my own before - I've only ever moved into apartments where I was at least starting out with a roommate/lover. It's not turning out to be as stressful as I had anticipated. Hopefully it keeps on like this.

Last night I tore myself away from the Olympics for a couple of hours to watch Canada-Jamaica in World Cup qualifying from Toronto. They tied, which was disappointing, but what was heartening was seeing the stands packed with red and white. (A lousy outgrowth of Toronto's incredible multiculturalism is that when the national side plays there, they often don't have quite the home field advantage they ought to.) Still, no point in panicking until we lose one.

And on that note, a reminder: Canada-Honduras, Saturday, September 6 at 8pm. I'm going to buy the tickets on September 1, and they'll be in the $15 range. If you want one, let me know. So far, it's just raccoonbonapart and I, but I'm fairly certain I'll manage to rope at least one or two others in.

I'm seriously thinking about painting my face with a maple leaf or something. It's been since the 2004 hockey World Cup that I've had the chance to cheer on a national team in any sport in person, and I want to make the most of it. I am not joking. Saraline said she'd probably cheer for Honduras. Treason, I say.

Also, reminder that I'm probably going to MOD CLUB this weekend, assuming one of you also is. Maybe pattyhearse? C'mon. $5 for all you can drink until midnight! This is going to be my one fun night out before the move.

Last night I dreamt about almost getting fired from work because I wore sweat pants.
