WestJet is having their "best deal ever" today only. Fares from Toronto to Montreal are as low as $17, and the return trip (or the trip there, depending on where you're at) can be made for as little as $49.
Great. But for one thing.
When you get to the page where they ask for your credit card info, the total price comes to $176.55. The price for the ticket that they claim upfront will cost $17 is $66.40, and the other one comes to $110.15. I know this is pretty standard in the airline industry, and I know there's nothing WestJet can necessarily do about it, but there really oughta be a law about how taxes and fees can't be more than the cost of the actual ticket. Buggers.
