(no subject)
So, I don't know how much I'll be checking LJ this week. I've been a bit slack about it lately, and, yeah. Just been like that - busy, y'know.
I'll recap.
Friday night, I played Gustavo at tennis. We both talked a big game all week long, but in the end, my superior skills set him aside 7-5. Oh, there'll be rematches. It was pretty fun, actually.
Following that, I went to the Alternative Comedy Show at Just for Laughs, with denkizero and obskura. It was really, really a lot of fun. The best line of the night might've been something about "fire engine sirens are more annoying than some stranger's house burning down," though it totally flopped on kurishii. Whatever. It was funny, even to the people I was with who hadn't had nearly as much to drink as I had.
Saturday, I backed out of La Ronde in favour of party preparations. And what a party it was. How many people were there? Too many, but just enough, really. Did anyone take pictures? It was really great to see so many of you, and to meet a few more. I hope to see much more of all at the new place...
Yesterday, I didn't really do much. Cleaned up some of the carnage (which wasn't really that bad, considering), did some gaming and shopping. Stayed up late talking with a few of the roomies and playing cribbage.
Today, I came to Ottawa on the bus. My father picked me up and we promptly headed for the baseball stadium. We saw a highly entertaining game. The Lynx scored 12 runs in the bottom of the 8th (10 before Norfolk even recorded an out), and one of Ottawa's pitchers made an amazing behind the back catch off a line-drive comebacker. It was brilliant. I followed that up with a trip out to Barrhaven to visit with kurishii and Maddox, and he's absolutely precious. I could watch him do nothing for hours and hours, and I'm not usually a baby kind of guy. And she dished to me about high school peeps. And fed me delicious Indian food. And showed me her new home. And it's really been quite a half-week or so. I'm on a bit of a roll, I think.
