I said, "becuase we're afraid my mother will knock on the door while we're in there". She didn't bother us again.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip. Welcome home. :-)

Oh, I wouldn't know. It's not like we were going to get around to that with parents and aunts and uncles just one room over...

Sounds like you had fun on your trip. Good thing your mom didn't catch you all in the middle of something.

I've never been to Canada.. maybe I should go someday.

You should. It's a nice enough place. But I wouldn't waste my money on it until I'd seen lots of other places.

Yeah, I saw that. With the way you were fretting about what your fellow LJers might think about you, I was expecting pictures behind the cuts...

Hey, I just thought of something... You thought there might be naked pictures behind the cut and you still checked it out after the warning! Who's the crazy perverted rapist now?!?

Interesting how you mention how big things are. I took an intercultural communication class two years ago, and we had a number of guest speakers from other countries. We would ask them what stereotypes they held about America and one of the most common ones is that people think everything is big here.

Another one that came up is that Americans are all rich, but I know that's not correct, because my paychecks are anything but kingly :oP Oh well.

Well, it seems true, even from up here. Portions in restaurants are huge; I saw more SUVs than I could ever imagine, and; who gave the world CostCo?
